NYS Expo Center

The trusses were 260-ft. long and 21-ft. deep, each weighing 60 tons. Because of their size, 14 of the trusses were assembled on site, creating the need for several cranes to be used to position each piece of steel into position so that it can be bolted together before being placed into position.

BVR Construction | High Steel Structures

The  249’ two-span bridge over I-690 was erected by BVR Construction during nightly closures of I-690, High Steel Structures was responsible for fabrication. The bridge was constructed to allow access from the NYS Fairgrounds Orange parking lot to I-690E in Syracuse NY.

Rochester Rigging & Erectors, Inc. | December 2021

Patient Tower Project:   This structural steel project was fabricated and erected by Rochester Rigging & Erectors, Inc. The project consists of four levels and a mechanical penthouse over the existing hospital’s SE wing.

BVR Construction

The 220’ Acrow Panel bridge was assembled, shored and launched by BVR Construction to allow for placement of a 24” and 16” diameter gas line for RG&E across Oatka Creek in Scottsville NY.

This project was erected by Ironworkers from Local 33 in Rochester, NY.  Tube Steel trusses were fabricated in the shop and erected as one assembly.

Hohl Industrial

Hohl Industrial was contracted to a 98,000#, $1 million injection mold at the GM Lockport facility.  The crew consisted of 3 journeyman Ironworkers, 1 millwright and 2 operations engineers.  The injection mold was 10’-11” wide skated thru a 11’-0” doorway.  We hoisted the unit off of our truck with a 275 ton hydraulic crane, set on a falsework, and then skated into the building utilizing a 20 ton rigger lift on 100 ton heavy haul skates.
